About Amazonia and our Positive Amazon Initiatives
We love our work and helping others is something that we are absolutely passionate about! Amazonia is a new generation of conscious business, which means we are always looking for ways to improve conditions in the Amazon, bring great health products to our customers and work only with positive driven organisations. Although we are a young company (but growing larger everyday) our company is already doing some amazing things. Please scroll down to find out what the boys at Amazonia have been up too and are currently involved in!

Thank You for your ongoing support
Amazonia Supporting the CASA DA Hospital

Returning from our Annual trip the Amazon (Macapa region) in Brazil to over view our ethical efforts and processing, Dwayne and Chris got up to their elbows in fresh Acai, visited schools and donated $7500 US dollars to the CASA DA Hospital! We continue to donate over fair trade wages to the Sustainability Amazon Partnership to continuly improve community amenities within this precious region our Acai comes from. 'Miguel' (in the white shirt) is our operations manager in the Amazon and was just awarded "Local Citizen Of The Year" for his positive work in the Macapa region. It is imperative for us to have caring people like Miguel on the ground at our source.
Sea Sheppard

The crew of Sea Sheppard are highly devoted to the protection of our marine cousins and the waters they live in. Actively compromising the operations of whaling ships and ANY threat to the worlds precious marine environment, we need these guys healthy and full of vigor for every mission. Very recently AMAZONIA donated 24 Cartons of our Acai puree to the crew of SEA SHEPARD to keep them on their toes before they sailed away on their next trip. Amazonia supports and thanks the crew of Sea Sheppard for their constant & devoted stance against whaling and ocean mistreatment efforts of our world. On each side of the crew, Cameron Barker (Amazonia WA Manger) and Gene Shafer (WA Sales Representative) are there to hand over the gift.
Supporting Local Women Cooperatives

The ladies in Macapa hand make our Acai jewelry in wonderful cooperatives. When we visited them there was lots of laughing and music; Dwayne couldn’t help but bring back many great looking bracelets that the women created that day! Amazonia purchases 1000's of these bracelets and 100% of profits go directly back to these women in the MIIB groups. As well as being a great way to use the leftover seed from our Açaí powder, this initiative provides further funding to the ladies of these gatherings. Look out for their jewelry soon, as we will be selling them through health food stores as well as providing them with future purchases of Purpleberries…then you can look as cool as us wearing one!
Amazonia Aids in Local School Funding

Creativity plays a huge role in any kids growth (or adults) Through our Sustainable Amazon Partnership, Amazonia is helping fund the Escola Estadual Igarape da Fortaleza school's new arts centre. Our partnership is ongoing and in the future we're looking forward to being more and more involved community projects.
Seed Instead of Wood!

Did you know that for every tonne of our delicious freeze dried powder there's 20 tonnes of leftover seed? Well now instead of just dumping the seed the locals of Macapa use the seed as the burning material in their furnaces instead of wood! This alternative fuel source is replacing timber and is demonstrating to locals that instead of trees they can use this, otherwise, Açaí bi-product! ?>
Our Very Own Facility

Acai berries begin too breakdown shortly after picking and this is why we need to get them washed, de-pulped and snapped frozen as QUICK as possible to save all those amazing natural nutrients. We have our very own facility in Macapa, so when the berries are picked, they're stripped into baskets and able to reach our facility quickly for snap freezing, ready for frozen transport. This is one of the most important things allowing us to guarantee the freshest Açaí direct to you. Happy to see everything was still super hygienic, workers were happy and everything was running smooth we celebrated by, well…eating more Açaí!?>
